About this site...

This website started out as a collection of pop culture examples for use in my classes. Over the years it has expanded to include items from my various collections, ideas for future research, and materials for visual reference. Topics include exotica, modernity, incongruities, pictoral conventions and ephemera with an emphasis on the way ideas and images come into being. The collections are an informal effort and are not meant to be comprehensive. Updated fall, spring and summer.
